Image gallery: Winter path and Speikboden sledge run
One of the longest sledge runs of South Tyrol delights every winter lover with an adventurous experience! On the Speikboden slope in the Valle Aurina, which is also famous for its ski slopes, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Valle Aurina and the Vetta d'Italia (Klockerkarkopf) in the Zillertal Alps. In this special place you can sledge down the hill while enjoying a magnificent panoramic view. Those who want to avoid this long, difficult slope, can take the cable car from the valley floor.
We start from the church of Lutago and ascend along the sledge run (Hochwald forest road which coincides partially with the paths n. 18 and 19) until Malga Schöllberg and follow the detailed and well-marked signposts to Monte Spico (Speikboden).
