Lake Anterselva

Lake Anterselva is one of the most impressive lakes of South Tyrol

Lake Anterselva, the third-largest mountain lake of South Tyrol lies at 1,642 m a.s.l. at the end of the Valle Anterselva. This natural gem is surrounded by lush forests and overlooked by the impressive summits of the Vedrette di Ries. It has a surface area of 44 hectares and its deepest point is at 38 metres.

In the proximity of the lake lies the biathlon centre of Anterselva which regularly hosts international races. The nearby Passo Stalle marks the border between Italy and Austria.

Lake Anterselva is a well-known summer hiking destination. The educational trail running around the lake is complete with several installations providing interesting information on the local flora and fauna. This easily walkable path can be completed in a 90-minute walk. Admire the lake in all its facets and relax in the sunlight.
