Lake Neves is situated at the end of the valle di Selva dei Molini, a side valley of the Valle Aurina. This body of water is easily accessible via a steep, narrow road from Lappago di Sopra. It is closed in winter and is usually reopened to traffic in May.
The lake lies at an altitude of 1,860 m a.s.l. and is surrounded by a dam wall which can be visited from May to October. We recommend walking around the lake on a hiking path.
Lake Neves is a starting point for mountain and ski mountaineering excursions in the heart of the Zillertal Alps. This green lake is surrounded by the most well-known peaks of the Zillertal Alps: the Punta Bianca, the Cima di Campo and the Gran Mèsule. One of the most popular hiking destinations is the rifugio Ponte di Ghiaccio.
