The Valli di Tures and Aurina are composed of the Valle Tures extending from Brunico to Campo Tures and the Valle Aurina starting from Campo Tures and ending in Casere. The valleys are surrounded by about 80 peaks above 3,000 m and still preserve ancient traditions and handicrafts like wood carving and bobbin lacing which are handed down to the future generations. Interestingly, the famous alpinist Hans Kammerlander, was born right here.
The Vedrette di Ries nature park boasts wonderful natural attractions like the Riva waterfalls. History and culture enthusiasts should definitely not miss a visit to Castel Tures, the mining museum Granaio Cadipietra and the Climatic Centre in Predoi. We highly recommend undertaking unforgettable mountain hikes in the surrounding mountains.
