Lake Laserzsee

The Laserzsee lake in the Lienz Dolomites is a natural gem at 2,260 m a.s.l. The itinerary leading up to the lake starts in the village of Tristach where the famous lake Tristacher See is situated.

The path leads past the Lienzer Dolomitenhütte hut at 1,600 m a.s.l. before taking you up to the Laserzsee lake in a 2-hour walk, covering 600 metres of elevation gain. Many hikers have refreshing baths in the crystal-clear water of the lake which is surrounded by the impressive calcareous rocks of the Lienz Dolomites. If you undertake a stroll around the lake you will walk past the Karlsbader Hütte hut where you can stop for a break and try delicious dishes before returning to the valley.
