This is a classic among the hikes in Val Pusteria Valley, in the middle of the forests at the foot of Monte Luta (Lutterkopf in German), particularly indicated for families.

Our today‘s destination is the Tesido di Fuori hut (Vordere Taistneralm in German) at 2,012 m a.s.l. It is situated in the western part of the Villgraten Mountains between the valleys of Anterselva and Casies. After having reached Tesido we continue towards the Mudlerhof restaurant. After that there is a spacious parking area and this is where our hike starts.
The levelled forest path no. 38A climbs constantly, but moderately steep. We reach the Malga di Tesido di Fuori almost effortlessly after two hours. We enjoy a break and some nice food at the hut and look forward to the following sledge ride. The half hour descent is easy and fun (don’t forget your helmet!), even for inexperienced sledders.
