Driving from Brunico to Riscone, we park our car near the toboggan run in Santo Stefano (957 m a.s.l.). From here, we continue by foot. We follow the forest road, which leads us gently upwards into the forest, until we finally reach a clearing and the Haidenbergerhof farm (1,280 m a.s.l.).
This beautiful mountain inn with its nice chapel lies in the middle of snowy meadows. From here, we enjoy a great view of the middle Val Pusteria, the Valle di Tures and the peaks of the Zillertal Alps. After a nice rest and a very tasty lunch we decide to rent a toboggan instead of hiking back to the starting point. This tour is particularly recommended for families!
