This easy winter hike starts in S. Stefano, a hamlet of the municipality of Riscone and takes us to the wonderful Haidenbergerhof

Not even the unstable weather can't keep us from walking. We drive to Riscone above Brunico and park in S. Stefano at the car park from where the sledge run (957 m a.s.l.) starts and take the forest road.
After a short section along the forest road we enter a dense forest where we climb some hairpin bends. In a left bend almost at the end of the path the forest thins out and the Haidenbergerhof farm (1,280 m a.s.l.) can be recognised on the horizon. This rustic mountain restaurant and its chapel are embedded in the wonderful alpine meadows. Up here, a stunning view of the Val Pusteria, the Valle di Tures and the peaks of the Alpine divide of the Zillertal Alps opens up.
After a delicious lunch in the cosy Stube of the inn, you can descend to the starting point either by sledge or on foot. If you don't want to take your own sledge with you or don't have one, you can rent it at the rental service of the Haidenbergerhof.
