This winter hike along the sunny slope of Villgraten starts in the centre of the village and takes us to some farmsteads from where we enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Marchkinkele and the Corno Fana

Thanks to its isolated position in nature, the Villgratental is a sought-after ski mountaineering and hiking destination. We start our hike from the village centre of Innervillgraten where we take an alley which follows the course of the Einatbach stream until a bend. Here we turn left and follow a narrow path uphill to the Hochberg farms. Near the Gasserhöfe farms our path meets an asphalt road which we follow towards west.
At the peak we admire the wonderful view of the snowy valley and the nearby summits of the Defereggen Alps. To return to the valley we descend along the Lahnberg path (Lahnberg-Weg) which takes us back to the farms at the foot of the Eggerberg. There we proceed along the Villgratenbach stream until we reach our starting point in the village centre.
