This pleasant winter hike above Terento along the Strada del Sole of the Val Pusteria leads us to the Malga Pertinger. We walk uphill along the via Schneeberg to the car park above the Nunewieser farms. We ascend along the forest road to the malghe Pertinger for more than an hour. The Malga Pertinger (1,870 m a.s.l.) offers stunning panoramic views of the surroundings ranging from Maranza in the west to the Dolomites and the Cresta Carnica in the east.
Snowshoe hikers and ski mountaineers can proceed their adventure in the snow by continuing to Malga Obere Pertinger Alm towards the Cima Hühnerspiel at 2,604 m a.s.l. or to the Giogo if they want. Sledders can descend the 2.6 km long path down to the starting point.
