This classic family hike through the forests at the foot of Monte Luta/Lutterkopf in the Val Pusteria is particularly beautiful

Today's destination is Malga di Tesido di Fuori (Vordere Taistneralm, 2,012 m a.s.l.) in the western branch of the Monti di Casies, also known as Monti del Villgraten, between the valleys of Anterselva and Casies. In Tesido we follow the signposts to the Mudlerhof restaurant where an extensive car park, the starting point of our hike, is situated.
The well-graded forest road no. 38A runs constantly uphill without ever getting too steep. We continue walking without feeling tired and reach the malga di Tesido hut after a few hours of relaxed walking. We are looking forward to our lunchbreak and to our descent by sledge. The descent is smooth but not difficult and is suitable also for less experienced sledders. The return to the car park by sledge only lasts about an hour. Please be cautious and wear your helmet correctly!
