The Munt da Rina hut near Marebbe is a sought-after destination for nature lovers

The starting point of today's winter hike is the car park near the outdoor sports centre above the village of Rina in the Val Badia. The description of this path is fairly easy as you only need to follow the paths no. 26A and no. 26 to the Wellschellener Alm (Munt da Rina), a hut far away from the ski slopes of the famous Plan de Corones. You can either walk along the forest road or take one of the shortcuts in the forest. In case of heavy snow we recommend using snowshoes.
After about 90 minutes of uphill walking we reach the malga which is embedded in a snowy clearing slightly below the forest limit. From here you could extend your hike by taking the Anton-Schwingshackl-Weg which takes you up to the Passo di Luson, the Col da Lech and the Glittner See lake (please plan an additional hour of walking time for this alternative).
We retrace our steps as we descend back to the car park. The most prominent element of this excursion is certainly the quietness in nature.
