Lake Tristach

Situated in a wonderful position at the foot of the Lienz Dolomites, Lake Tristach (Tristacher See) is the only bathing lake in East Tyrol. This body of water is a sought-after destination for the whole family. Children can have fun splashing in the water or playing at the playground on the shore.

The beach Strandbad Tristachersee, is only 4 km from the city of Lienz and provides rubber boats and inflatable mattresses for hire. Here you can relax in the shadow of the trees on the lakeshore, dive into the lake's crystal-clear water, play beach volleyball with your friends or sip a refreshing drink at the Terrassencafé bar.

The lido Strandbach is accessible from Lienz via Tristach. The car park is subject a fee during the high season. Otherwise you can take a dedicated bus service run by the lido.
