The village of San Martino at 860 m a.s.l. has about 560 inhabitants and was first mentioned in the 12th century.
The parish church of the locality was built in the 12th century and houses a choir with Gothic vaults dating back to the 16th century. At the foot of a forested hill stands the Schwarzhorn residence with its pretty square towers and round arched portal.
In the surroundings of the village you can undertake a relaxing walk along the Maria Sares via crucis which takes you to a sanctuary you shouldn't miss.
