Ski touring

Some of the most popular places in the South Tyrolean Val Pusteria are the Valle Aurina, the Valle di Casies, the Alta Pusteria and the Valle di Braies in the Braies Dolomites. In East Tyrol, however, the Villgratental and the Gailtal/Lesachtal valleys are waiting for ski tourers.

Before starting the tour, consider weather conditions and the local snow report. Basic equipment: warm clothes, warm beverages and enough food, an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe as well as a mobile, a fist-aid-box and a detailed map of the area. If you are not off-slope experienced, we recommend you to join a guided tour, which are offered by local mountain guides!
