Ski & Snowboard

There are numerous skiing areas in Val Pusteria, perfect for your winter and skiing holidays.

Val Pusteria offers numerous possibilities for skiing and snowboarding. There is for example the largest skiing area of South Tyrol, called Plan de Corones. This ski-region features more than 30 state-of-the-art ski lifts, mainly accessible from three localities. Skiers and snowboarders will find everything they wish for…
In Alta Val Pusteria, there are also several other skiing areas, all together featuring 50 km of ski runs: the skiing area Monti di Haunold/Baranci, Passo Monte Croce, Prati di Croda Rossa as well as Dobbiaco. However, there are also more than 200 km of cross-country ski trails which snake its way even to Cortina d’Ampezzo!
However, there are several sports events taking place in this area in winter months, for example the Snowboard Wold Cup, Biathlon Wold Cup or Alpine Skiing events.

By the way: visit the Snow Sculpture Festival at S. Vigilio di Marebbe and San Candido! Also the traditional Balloon Festival at Dobbiaco is a very popular event.
