The municipality of Brunico extends around the Plan de Corones and offers several cultural attractions like the MMM Ripa
Brunico, a famous holiday destination and main city of the Val Pusteria, is situated right at the heart of the valley. The municipality stretching between 812 m and 2,277 m a.s.l. also includes the villages of San Giorgio, Stegona, Villa Santa Caterina, Ameto, Teodone and Riscone. The famous Plan de Corones overlooks the entire valley. This world-famous hiking and skiing area attracts numerous sports enthusiasts all year round. Usually, it also hosts a stage of the Giro d'Italia in May.
The South Tyrolean Folklore Museum in Teodone, the MMM Ripa, as well as the Eck Museum of Art, are the the most important cultural attractions of the city. Brunico is also connected to the Pusterbike cycle path and to the cycle path of the Valle Aurina. Another place sports enthusiasts shouldn't miss is the Nature Fitness Park Plan de Corones Dolomiti, the largest Nordic Walking park of Europe featuring several routes of different levels.
