The landmark of San Paolo at 865 m a.s.l. between Villa and Rio di Pusteria is the church consecrated to St. Paul which can be seen from the road and the window of the Val Pusteria railway.
San Paolo with its approximately 100 inhabitants looks back on a long history. Its church was already mentioned in the 14th century, however, the first farms were probably built long before. The small settlement is easily accessible thanks to its vicinity to the road of the Val Pusteria. The railway station of Rio Pusteria lies only 2 km from San Paolo.
