Come to the Museum Dolomythos and make a trip through the history of the Dolomites, from primeval times until today. This time travel focused on the mountains and their inhabitants, begins in Prehistoric times and goes until nowadays. This special museum, created by Michael Wachtler, hosts stunning crystal treasures of the Dolomites.
This museum will get you to meet the most interesting inhabitants of the Dolomites, like for example the Conturines bear, terrifying prehistoric reptils, crystal treasures, fossiles and more. In the open area of the museum lots of natural highlights, a treasure hunt, surprises, gold, dinosaures, crystals and much more is waiting to be discovered by children and adults. The Dolomythos cinema displays interesting films about the formation of the Dolomites, the history of the Ladins and various first ascents of the highest peaks of the Dolomites.
At the end of a very interesting and exciting day in the museum you can buy a piece of history of the Dolomites in the museum shop or take a rest in the cosy 200 years old "Stube”!
