Discover the Dolomites in all their facets during an unforgettable time travel which will reveal you all the information and interesting facts you always longed to know. The unique story of the Dolomites starts with their formation during prehistory and retraces all the milestones of their millennial history. Particular attention is dedicated to the animals and peoples who have lived there in former times and nowadays. The museum was set up by Michael Wachtler and displays the rarest and most magnificent crystals of the Dolomites.
The exhibition route retraces the history of the Dolomites without forgetting to mention the strangest inhabitants, that is to say, the bear of the Conturines, terrible reptiles and many other animals. In the external area of the museum visitors can take part in a real treasure hunt, discover interesting facts on nature, surprises and live unforgettable adventures. At the Dolomythos-Cinema children and adults can watch films on the formation of the natural landscapes, the history of the Ladin peoples and the first ascents in the Dolomites.
End your visit at the shop of the museum where you can purchase fantastic souvenirs from the Dolomites to take home. And if you are still struck by these stunning mountains you can end your visit with a drink at the "Dolomythos-Stube" which was built more than 200 years ago!
