The more than 3,000-m high Sasso delle Dieci is one of the local mountains of La Valle in the Val Badia

The Sasso Delle Dieci (Zehner in German and Sas dles Diesc in Ladin) overlooks La Valle in Val Badia. This 3,026-m high peak, as well as the Sasso delle Nove (Neuner) were used to determine the time according to the position of the sun. The mountain is composed of dolomia and calcareous stone and belongs to the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park.
The mountain hike up to the Sasso delle Dieci starts at the intermediate station of the chair lift in Santa Croce in Val Badia. The peak is reachable in four hours, however, the ridge is a matter solely for experienced alpinists.
The Sasso delle Dieci delights everyone with a stunning view of the Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo and the Marmolada, the highest summit of the Dolomites. Other mountains you can admire from here are the Monte Cristallo, the Sasso Putia, the Sella group and the Puez group. In winter, skimo athletes can try the difficult route leading up to peak.
