Perca is the administrative centre of the eponymous municipality and lies at an altitude of 970 m a.s.l. on a high plateau bordering the basin of Brunico towards east. The village is situated 5 km east of the city of Brunico and extends along the main road of the Val Pusteria.
This locality is situated along the Val Pusteria cycle path which is suitable also for families. Mountain bike enthusiasts can ascend to Montassilone by covering a mountain road. The Gothic parish church of the village is dedicated to S. Cassiano. This monument hosts several coats of arms of different Habsburg regions and is decorated with a wonderful groin vault.
The Braies Dolomites and the famous Croda del Becco rise south-east of Perca.
