The Issengo lake and the Kronaction high rope course are the main attractions of the municipality of Falzes
The municipality of Falzes at the foot of the mountains extends along the strada del sole in the Val Pusteria. The hamlets of Issengo, Grimaldo, Molini and Plata are situated between 880 and 2,450 metres of altitude. Falzes boasts a mild climate and its isolated location protects its 1,450 inhabitants from strong north winds.
The lake of Issengo and the Kronaction high rope course are particularly well-known destinations during the summer months. In the proximity of the Kronaction high rope course you can visit the mountain pine oil distillery Bergila and its wonderful herb garden. Hiking enthusiasts will find an extensive network of hiking paths to Monte Sommo and the Cima Bärental. The Alta Via di Fundres, a high-altitude path, starts and ends in the village of Fundres. Those who prefer relaxing walks to challenging hikes can undertake a stroll along the circular theme path "Le Pietre Raccontano" (stories of rocks). Nordic walking itineraries are available as well.
If you are into history you should definitely visit Castel Sichelburg and Castel Schöneck, the birthplace of the Minnesänger Oswald von Wolkenstein. The restaurant Schöneck in the village of Falzes owes its name to the eponymous castle.
