The Bassa Pusteria comprises the municipalities of Rio di Pusteria, Valles, Maranza, Spinga and Vandoies. The Rienza river, which crosses the entire Valle di Fundres, has its origin in the Alta Pusteria. South of the area lies the village of Rodengo with the malghe of Rodengo and Luson.
We highly recommend a visit to the Loden museum in Vandoies followed by a cup of coffee near the church of Rio di Pusteria. From here you can undertake excursions to the valle di Altafossa and the Malga Fanes. In the Fundres mountains, a group of the Zillertal Alps, you can scale the most impressive peaks of the area. The cities of Brunico, Bressanone and Vipiteno are easily accessible by public transport.
