The Kals and Matreier Goldried skiing areas in East Tyrol are now part of the same skiing area which ensures great fun for the whole family. Here waiting times are reduced to a minimum and boredom is not part of the vocabulary. The Großglockner Resort is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful skiing areas of the Alps. The view you can enjoy from here ranges from the Glockner and Schober groups to the Granatspitzgruppe range. The ticket fees are particularly interesting for children and teenagers. Moreover, guests of this ski resort can use the first heatable six seater cable car of East Tyrol.
Skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the thrilling descents, snow-covered slopes and slopes of every difficulty level. Snow is guaranteed in every moment of the season thanks to the modern artificial snowmaking systems. Children can warm up in a spacious area dedicated to little guests. They can even use a magical lift.
On a sunny meadow in the centre of Kals there is another area suitable for children. People who prefer practising other winter sports are in the right place here as this area also features cross-country ski tracks, winter hiking itineraries, sledge runs and ice skating rinks.
