Lienzer Bergbahnen skiing area

The Lienzer Bergbahnen lift facilities transport you with one ticket into two skiing areas: Zettersfeld and Hochstein, both towering above the basin of Lienz

The Hochstein, the local mountain of Lienz, offers perfect conditions for skilled skiers and snowboarders, as most of the slopes are quite challenging. The skiing area at the Zettersfeld, however, is a perfect skiing area for families. The slopes are accessible via five (Hochstein) and seven lift facilities (Zettersfeld).

The slopes of the Hochstein are perfect for practising all disciplines - downhill, slalom, giant slalom and super G - and for this reason many national ski teams come to the Hochstein in the course of the winter season. Moreover this mountain offers the Alpine Coaster "Osttirodler". All-year round you can enjoy rushing down the 2.7 km into the valley!

The majority of the ski slopes of the Zettersfeld skiing area is classified as easy and medium. However, there are also deep powder snow areas as well as mogul slopes, which will make skilful skiers’ hearts leap for joy. By the way: with one skipass, the "SKI)HIT", you can also ski in the following eight skiing areas: Grossglockner Resort Kals-Matrei ski region, ski center Brunnalm - St. Jakob in Defereggen, Zettersfeld Lienz and Hochstein Lienz skiing areas, ski center Sillian - Hochpustertal, Golzentipp, Kartitsch and Virgen / Prägraten skiing area, and for an additional charge also on the Mölltal Glacier and Ankogel (3,252 m asl).
