A breath-taking panoramic view and a great familiar atmosphere - skiing in St. Jakob in Defereggen in East Tyrol is a fantastic expericence.

For the panoramic view alone, this skiing area in the Defereggental valley is worth to be visited. At an altitude of 2,525 m asl you can enjoy a view on more than 60 mountains of 3,000 metres, and of course on the majestic Grossglockner mountain. On the sunny slopes you will immediately feel at home: 21.5 km of ski slopes can be explored.
St. Jakob in Defereggen is considered to be THE family skiing area in East Tyrol, as particular attention is set on children. There are various attractions like a ski kindergarden, a magic carpet as well as child-friendly ski slopes. By the way: there are reductions for young people up to 18 years!
The funpark Brunnalm of the skiing area, however, in the course of the time has become a real hotspot for snowboarders.
The ski center Brunneralm is part of the network “SKI)HIT” comprising 8 skiing areas in East Tyrol and a total of 400 km of ski slopes.
In order to protect the health of guests and the local population, the winter season 2019/20 will be closed earlier this year, on 16 March 2020. This is a preventive measure against the further spread of the COVID-19 disease.
