Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking can be practised by people of all ages

Nordic Walking is a fun and very complete sport. The Nordic Walking instructors of the Val Pusteria organise lessons and courses both for beginners and experienced Nordic Walkers.

This wonderful sport can be practised by people of all ages as it does not overload the joints. The trekking poles provide stability and support and favour a faster walking pace. Contrary to traditional walking, Nordic Walking engages both the muscles of your lower and upper body, allowing you to burn more calories as well.

The sport was invented in 1930 in Finland and initially it was used by biathletes to keep fit in summer when they couldn't train on the snow. Over the years this sport became increasingly popular.

The Val Pusteria is crossed by signposted Nordic Walking Trails. We wish you great fun!
