Campo Tures Nature Trail

The Campo Tures Nature Trail built in 2004 allows visitors get in touch with nature. A walk along the Nature Path is definitely an unforgettable experience you should live with all of your senses. The small, orange squirrel shows you the right way. The itinerary features several information panels on the local fauna and flora. Discover nature from close up.

The path starts in Piazza Municipio in Campo Tures and heads towards north. After 50 metres of walking, cross the stream to your right and continue along its banks until you reach the start of the Castel Tures promenade (Burgpromenade). The itinerary then proceeds below the old customs portal and climbs along the gravel road towards northeast past Castel Tures. The view over the valle Aurina is simply impressive!

Continue walking for another 45 minutes, then the path descends to the stream. Walk along the right bank of the stream until you arrive at the nature lake Campo Tures, a body of water immersed among the trees which guarantee shade during the summer months. Here you can either relax in nature or walk until the fountain in piazza del municipio, the starting point of this hike.
