Caminata at 850 m a.s.l. with its 260 inhabitants, is a small natural oasis and ideal starting point for rafting tours on the Rio Aurino and hikes in the surroundings. The area offers a wide range of thrilling, romantic and relaxing activities.

Right outside the village starts the "Franziskusweg", a spiritual path leading to the three Riva waterfalls and the chapel dedicated to Francis and Clara (Franz-und-Klara Kapelle). This itinerary crosses some of the most stunning landscapes of the Valle di Tures.
