S. Vito - Sesto

San Vito, the main village of the municipality of Sesto, is an ideal starting point for wonderful hikes in the Sesto Dolomites

The village of Sesto was named after the patron saint S. Vito, to whom the parish church was consecrated. This village lies in the side valley of the Alta Pusteria near the border to East Tyrol.
The wonderful paintings on the ceiling of the church by the artist Rudolf Stolz from Bolzano, are definitely worth visiting. In the village centre stands a museum dedicated to this artist.

We recommend undertaking a hike along the circular path of Sesto. During this two-part hike, you and your family will discover the history, culture and nature of this area.

The Innerfeldtal, which branches off before S. Vito, is crossed by several hiking paths. The most popular destinations in this area are the rif. Tre Scarperi and the rif. Tre Cime di Lavaredo from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the northern wall of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. We highly recommend an overnight stay in this area to fully enjoy the famous enrosadira which illuminates the Dolomites at sunset. Climbing enthusiasts can practise their favourite sport in the climbing hall of Sesto between S. Vito and Moso.

In winter, Sesto turns into a winter sports paradise. The Innerfeldtal features different cross-country ski tracks, the rif. Tre Cime is accessible on skis and unforgettable winter hikes in the Dolomites can be undertaken as well. Are you ready to fall in love with Sesto?
