Sillian - Hochpustertal skiing area

The Sillian - Hochpustertal skiing area is a paradise for families

The Sillian-Hochpustertal skiing area in East Tyrol is only a few kilometres from the state border between Italy and Austria. The ski slopes on Monte Thurntaler are accessible both from Ausservillgraten and Sillian, from where the cable cars to the mountain start. Besides being one of the most famous skiing areas of this area, the Sillian-Hochpustertal ski resort also features one of the largest and most cutting-edge artificial snowmaking systems of East Tyrol.

The mountain station is situated at an altitude of 2,407 m a.s.l. and is complete with 7 ski lifts of which two cable cars, 2 chairlifts and 3 ski tows, as well as 22 km of ski slopes. From the peak of Mount Thurntaler you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view extending far beyond the border between South Tyrol (Italy) and East Tyrol (Austria). The ski school "Wintersportschule Hochpustertal" has given life to the Kinderclub "Bobo", a project which consists in taking care of children while their parents can have fun on the ski slopes.

Freestylers will definitely enjoy the "Kick" and "Yellow-Snow" snowboard parks.

Skiers are spoilt for choice: the numerous slopes of all difficulty levels allow ski enthusiasts to try the ones that fit them best. At the valley station you can find a ski tow which is particularly useful for beginners. The Sillian - Hochpustertal skiing area is perfect for spending a marvellous day on the slopes.
