The holiday region Plan de Corones/Kronplatz includes 15 different localities: Brunico, S. Vigilio di Marebbe, Valdaora, S. Lorenzo di Sebato, Chienes, Falzes, Perca, Rasun in Valle Anterselva, Terento, Monguelfo, Tesido, Anterselva, Valle di Casies, Gais-Villa Ottone e San Martino in Badia.
Despite not being particularly known for its profile, this mountain (2,275 m a.s.l.) still attracts numerous children and adults from everywhere and is accessible with 32 ski lifts. Their valley stations lie in S. Vigilio di Marebbe, Riscone, Valdaora and Perca and are easily reachable by train.
The most famous skiing mountain boasts different ski slopes of all levels, allowing skiers to experience unforgettable adventures in the snow. Besides alpine skiing, you can practise also other sports like carving, snowboarding and telemark. The snowpark is situated near the "Belvedere" ski lift. And if natural snow lacks, the artificial snowmaking systems will ensure perfect conditions anyway.
The Plan de Corones skiing area is directly connected to the Val Badia. In fact, the 2 km long black slope descends to the Ladin village of Pikolein with an impressive 500 metres drop. This slope is easily accessible by the new cable car "Piculin", whose valley station is situated in the aforementioned village and which is capable of carrying 2,400 people per hour.
