The Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival attracts numerous choral music lovers every year
Singing brings us together - a festival for music lovers
The Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival takes place every year in June in the Val Pusteria. On the five days dedicated to choral music you can attend several concerts, open air exhibitions and meetings. Great fun and shared passion for singing are the heart of this non-competitive event. Exhibitions are subdivided into different music genres: sacral-choral music, polyphonic singing, folkloristic and alpine music, opera, spiritual music, gospel, jazz and original compositions.
Attend different kinds of exhibitions:
- evening concerts take place inside a building or a hall, usually in different churches, concert halls, mountain huts or musical pavilions.
- open air concerts such as "choirs in squares", "choir nights" and "the choir parade". These exhibitions are particularly appreciated by the audience.
- meeting-days include different exhibitions in the largest concert halls of the valley. They are the icing on the cake for real connoisseurs.
The impressive Dolomite peaks, the lakes of Braies and Anterselva, the centres of the surrounding villages and several castles are the frame for this unique event. The choir exhibitions take place in up to 40 fascinating locations between Brunico and Sillian.
Next edition: 10 - 14 June 2026
