This nice autumnal walk along the slope of Chienes leads us to the San Martino Church on the high plateau of the Strada del Sole in Val Pusteria

In the centre of Chienes we take path no. 7A. The initial asphalt road turns into a forest path and leads steadily uphill. We walk past some farms and across meadows before entering the forest. At a fork in the forest we follow signpost no. 6 to Corti. Then we pass the Dickenhof farm and eventually reach the hamlets of Corti and Moso which are both situated along the Val Pusteria road.
From here it is only a 10-minute walk through the forest to the San Martino church rising in the proximity of a house group on a meadow clearing - a perfect place to relax and enjoy the late autumn sun. We return to the starting point by following the paths no. 7A and no. 6 to Chienes. On the way we get to admire the stunning landscape from another angle.
Please note: this unforgettable hike can be undertaken in autumn, spring and on not particularly hot summer days.
