The 2026 edition of the traditional Giro delle Dolomiti is much more than an amateur cycling race. It is indeed a perfect blend between cycling, passion, curiosity and moments in good company. This year, the Giro delle Dolomiti takes place from 13 to 17 July 2026. The more than 400-km long route is subdivided into 5 stages and most of them start and end at the fair of Bolzano. Participants will explore the Dolomites and some passes and roads, including the legendary passo Stelvio at 2,757 m a.s.l.
The stunning natural landscape, however, is only one reason why this event is becoming increasingly popular: in fact, its unique race format makes it a highly sought-after event as well. During the race, cyclists need to stay in the group to fully enjoy the marvellous landscape they are immerged in. Every stage also includes a timed section closed to traffic which determines the winner of the day, as well as the final ranking.
The race ensures a wonderful combination of relaxing moments, eagerness to compete, fun and group spirit. The only requirement you need to meet in order to participate in this event is having a valid medical certificate for competitive cycling. All participants have access to a full service including technical assistance, massages and refreshment points along the course. Athletes' safety is the first priority of this race.
