Since 1772 a Bauernbadl spa has been located in East Tyrol, not far from the bank of the Drava river. Here you can relax in larch tubs with lids and enjoy the curative water, which can relieve joint pain, rheumatism and sciatica and assists wound healing. The baths are offered from the beginning of June until the beginning of autumn. After the treatment you can enjoy Tyrolean delicacies in the snack-bar, because in former times relaxation and company were closely linked.
Today the ancient farmhouse is under monumental protection as it was saved from decay in the 1990s. The Institute of Physiology and Balneology of the University of Innsbruck has accredited the Aigner Badl spa as a calcium-sulphate-mineral spring.
