Hike from Spinga to the Anratter Mountain Hut

In autumn we do this walking tour through the forest and larch meadows from Spinga to the popular Rif. Anratter mountain hut

This easy walking tour can be recommended during all seasons of the year. Along a nice forest path we have to manage about 6.5 km (each direction) and 550 metres in altitude. It proceeds through beautiful forests and larch meadows and offers also a visit to the Rif. Anratter mountain hut at 1,815 m a.s.l.

It’s October and the larches are already yellowing. Our starting point is the parking space at the Wetterkreuz cross just above Spinga. From here we always follow the path no. 9, a forest road which proceeds straight to the Rif. Anratter mountain hut. We walk steadily uphill, from 1,350 m up to 1,830 m and can study the change of the vegetation.

The Rif. Anratter is among the most popular mountain huts of South Tyrol and awaits us with South Tyrolean delicacies. After a rewarded break we start our way back again, along the same route.
