In the Val Pusteria you can visit different markets ranging from the traditional farmers' markets, to animal markets. The smaller markets in the villages are as beautiful as the bigger ones in cities like Brunico. The markets of the Val Pusteria offer a huge variety of products: from clothes and handicrafts to typical South Tyrolean dishes and fresh farmer products.

The popular market of Stegona, the largest market of Tyrol is definitely one of the highlights of the valley. It is organised every year in late October in the Piazza Mercato in Stegona, a locality near Brunico. This 3-day fair attracts visitors from South Tyrol and Austria.
