Description
Music by the Auschwitz Girls' Orchestra with stories from the book “Eravamo il suono” (in Italian).
The Auschwitz Girls' Orchestra was founded in 1943 on the orders of the SS in the Auschwitz II-Birkenau extermination camp in German-occupied Poland. The orchestra was active for 19 months and consisted mainly of young Jewish and Slavic female prisoners of various nationalities.
