Description
The event takes place on the first Saturday after Easter, it is about a ram that is auctioned in favour of a pilgrimage church. This tradition dates back to the Thirty Years’ War, to the time when this area was pest-ridden. After this time the inhabitants promised to do a pilgrimage with a ram to Lavant.
8.15 am: procession from Virgen to Obermauern with the ram
9.00 am: Holy Mass in Obermauern
