The tourism industry faces the challenge of combining economic success with environmental and social responsibility.
The series of events entitled ‘Sustainability in Tourism – Vireo on Tour’, organised by Vireo in cooperation with local GSTC-certified destinations, provides information about the certification process, specific measures and best practices. The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is the international
reference organisation for the promotion of such sustainable tourism practices.
The events take place at various destinations in South Tyrol and offer space for exchange, inspiration and practical ideas. On Monday, 3 November 2025, a lecture on this topic will be held in Italian at the Haus der Berge. Bella Shahsuvaryan and Matteo Viviani will give lectures from 4.45 p.m. to 6 p.m.
