Forcella Lerosa and Ra Stua hut

Together with Lanz Active, we explore the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park, one of the most impressive landscapes in the Dolomites, home to the Tofane peaks as well as the mountain groups of Fanes, Col Becchei, Croda Rossa and Cristallo.

Our hike begins at Passo Cimabanche and leads through the beautiful Gotres Valley up to Forcella Lerosa, where we are rewarded with stunning views of the southern side of Croda Rossa. On the picturesque alpine meadows around the Lerosa saddle, marmots can often be seen or heard, and with a bit of luck we may even spot traces of chamois or deer. These animals are very shy and therefore rarely seen during the daytime – but you never know, maybe luck will be on our side!

From the saddle, we continue downhill to Ra Stua mountain hut, where we can stop for lunch. Afterwards, we follow the beautiful Boite waterfall trail down to the bus stop at Sant’Hubertus, from where we return to Dobbiaco by public bus.

Elevation gain: approx. 500 m
Walking time: approx. 4 hours
Equipment: hiking boots, backpack with drinks and a small snack, rain protection and warm clothing.
Depending on the tour, the hikes are suitable both for experienced hikers and for families and beginners.

Important notice: the starting point of the hike can easily be reached by public bus.
