Lake Laserzsee in East Tyrol and the Karlsbader mountain hut (opened in summer), is a beautiful hiking destination
In the heart of the Lienz Dolomites, at 2,260 m a.s.l., a natural treasure is located, which especially in summer invites to a fantastic hiking tour. Starting point of this hike up to Lake Laserzsee is Tristach, well-known for Lake Tristach. The hike takes about 2 hours.
The first stage is the Dolomitenhütte mountain hut at approx. 1,600 m, afterwards another 600 m in height still must be managed before you can refresh your feet in the cool crystal-clear water of Lake Laserzsee. The lake, surrounded by the rocks of the Lienz Dolomites, can be rounded, moreover the famous Karlsbader mountain hut is located on its shore. It offers the ideal possibility for a rest before you start the way back down into the valley again.
