Next to the Loden World in Vandoies you can live a unique experience at the show dairy Capriz. As South Tyrol used to have a long tradition in goat breeding which decreased over the years, the Capriz cheese dairy promotes local goat cheese and goat breeding.
Cheese production is mainly based on the French model. However, the cheese masters of Capriz always try out innovative approaches to give their savoury cheeses a truly unique flavour. The available cheeses range from soft cheeses, bloomy or red rind cheeses to fresh and goat cheeses. During their visit guests can delve into the fascinating world of cheeses by discovering more about bacteria and cultures. From the Capriz Genussbereich they can observe master cheese producers at work.
In the shop near the cheese dairy you can purchase many varieties of savoury cheeses, refined wines, different types of bread, mustards and many other delicacies. Cheeses can be tried at the local bistro. From the terrace you can observe goats and a small pond. Children will definitely like the toboggan!

The reported opening hours are those of the Capriz musuem and show dairy. Guided tours are available every day from 9 am to 7 pm for groups of at least 6 adults.
Capriz with its winery, museum and shop is open every day all year round.
Hamburgers and other dishes available at the Pims bistrot are prepared with Capriz cheese. Please check the opening hours in advance.
