Bathing lakes

The Val Pusteria valley offers two bathing lakes embedded in the beautiful natural landscape of South and East Tyrol

In South and East Tyrol there are two bathing lakes, which are popular excursion destinations in summer. In Issengo near Falzes, Lake Issengo can be found, one of the last pond biotopes of South Tyrol. From June until September, a water slide, a water fountain and a playground as well as a large lawn for sunbathing are waiting for the young and the old.

Also East Tyrol has to offer a bathing lake: Lake Tristach, located near the eponymous village, is well-known. Due to its gorgeous position at the feet of the Lienz Dolomites, it is not only interesting for bathing but also for the various walking paths around the lake and in close vicinity. The lido at Lake Tristach is opened during summer.

Further popular lakes in the Val Pusteria, as Lake Braies or Lake Landro in the Val di Landro, also have a natural beach. But due to their altitude, the water stays quite cold. Other lakes, as the Neualpl Lakes or Lake Laserz, little natural treasures in the mountains, are gorgeous hiking destinations.
