Water Museum “The Magic of Water”

This museum in Lappago in the Valle dei Molini shows the power and secrets of water in an old cellar vault

The Water Museum "The Magic of Water" opened in June 2010 in the Valle dei Molini, a side valley to the Valle di Tures. It shows the magic of this element, which is omnipresent in this small valley on the southern side of the Zillertal Alps. In fact, here, water is everywhere you look.

Water is one of mankind's most precious resources and may not be taken for granted in any part of the world. The Water Museum in Lappago was realised in cooperation with the German artist Peter Schreiner. It is also the starting point of various water theme trails, which lead for example to the artificial lake of Lappago, passing an adventurous ravine, or to the old mill in Selva di Dentro.

The Water Museum in Lappago combines the magic, artistic and even the invisible characteristics of water. However, the most impressive part of the exhibition is outside, since nature is still the best artist...
