Up to the Summit – Picco della Croce

The Wilde Kreuzspitze (3,134 m), the highest peak in the Pfunderer Mountains, offers impressive views of the Zillertal Alps. From the Fane Alm, the challenging route leads past the Wilden See lake and over the Rauhtaljoch ridge to the summit. The partly exposed descent continues through the Rauhtal valley to the Brixner Hütte mountain hut and back to the Fane Alm.

Meeting point: valley station of the Jochtal cable car in Vals. From there, participants travel in their own cars; car sharing can be arranged. Parking at the Fane Alm is subject to a fee. Refreshment stops: Fane Alm, Labeseben Alm and Brixner Hütte | approx. 18 km | 1,400 metres of elevation gain | Walking time: approx. 7 hours | Total duration: approx. 8 hours
