Anterselva di Sotto is located in a wide valley basin and surrounded by fertile meadows and fields. Stretching at 1,109 m a.s.l., the village is inhabited by some 450 people. Surrounded by the deep green forests of the Valle Anterselva and the rough and rocky summits of the Vedrette di Ries, Anterselva di Sotto is situated in the homonymous nature park. In the village itself there is also a recreation park.

Starting from the village, you can make several walks, such as to the Grente Alm, the Neuhütte Alm or the Langegger Alm pastures. Also the Taistner Hinteralm pasture can be reached from Anterselva di Sotto. Absolutely worth to be visited, best by bicycle, is the Lake Anterselva, providing refreshing moments in the mountains in high summer.
