Valle San Silvestro has got some 350 ininhabitants and makes part of the municipality of Dobbiaco. Located at 1,318 m a.s.l., S. Silvestro can be reached via a little road that stretches from the parish church of Dobbiaco towards north.

Valle S. Silvestro is located in the heart of nature and is an idyllic place, where the time seems to stand still. Hustle and bustle of everyday life are hardly perceivable. For this reason, it is a perfect place for making walks and tours. A walk to Dobbiaco, scaling the Cornetto di Confine, walking to the Malga di San Silvestro, there are many possibilities. Also Franadega and Candelle can be reached from San Silvestro, also by mountain bike. This is also where the hardest mtb race of the Dolomites, Dolomiti Superbike, passes.
